The commissary was full he heard the noise and conversation
half way down the hall, just as he smelled the aroma of the food
within. The small compact man entered the room and all conversation
stopped, there was a miniscule pause in his pace then he continued
towards the buffet line. He could hear quite conversations begin
around him as he went through the line, turning he surveyed the
room. He crossed to a table.
"May I join you?" He asked in his soft European accent. The two men
at the table looked up.
"Sorry we are expecting a couple more to join us." They replied. He
went towards another table and met with rejection again. The older dark
haired man was watching the snowballing of the younger man.
"Why the cold shoulder?" He asked the curvy blond sitting with him.
She smiled at him.
"Oh! That is the Russian. You know Kur..what -ever. I don't think
anyone wants him here." Solo frowned at her.
"Mr. Waverly wants him here. What's wrong with him?"
"You haven't met him?" Napoleon shook his head slowly. "I left on
assignment before he got here. I haven't even read his file yet."
The dark haired agent looked at her waiting.
"Well besides being Russian, he is rude and as warm as an ice cube."
Napoleon saw another table refuse to let him join them, he did a quick
survey of the room. He raised his hand and waved the younger agent over to
his table. The dark haired man almost laughed; he didn't know who
was more surprised. The woman with him or the young blond that he
waved over.
