Illya was stopped in mid-stride by an elderly scientist as he was
headed towards where he knew Napoleon was waiting. Hiding his
annoyance-- and flat-out denying his worry-- he tried to make this
conversation as brief as possible.

As the man's theories became more bizarre and, well, theoretical,
Illya looked for a way to end a discussion that seemed to have
limitless possibilities. Luckily, an end was provided for him.

In the form of gunfire.

Napoleon heard the shots and prayed that they didn't involve Illya.
Then he reminded himself that his concern should be for the helpless
scientists, and not for a trained UNCLE agent.

Nonetheless, as he was barelling down the hallway towards the sound's
point of origin, it was Illya he worried about.

"Everyone get down!" Illya shouted, though most of the others in the
corridor already had. He pulled his Walther from its holster and
whispered a near-silent supplication to whatever forces were at work.
'Not Napoleon'.
