From part 36. Outside the office, Illya stopped Mark and April. "Would you do us the favor of standing as godparents to our daughters?" The two agents exchanged glances. "You want *us*?" asked Mark. April nudged him with an elbow. "We'd be delighted." "Thank you," said Napoleon. "We'll try to make sure you're never called on to perform your duties." He grinned at the two of them. "Shall we go visit your goddaughters?" The four of them headed for the infirmary. \\

April sat rocking the sleeping Jessamy, a tiny hand held loosely to her larger one.. Napoleon stood leaning against the far wall, smiling with silent amusement as she softly sang to his little darling. April was a natural with kids he thought..

He moved his gaze over to the other corner.. There Mark was engrossed in the business of entertaining Galina. She was giggling at the sounds and faces he was making for her. Illya was sitting next to them gently tickling Galina's feet as she kicked and squealed happily.

Napoleon laughed

"Mark, You do have a way with the ladies." he told Mark. Mark had just made another really silly face for Galina. "It's easy mate, when the ladies are as pretty and sweet as these two little birds." Mark went back to his duty as Galina's personal clown. And the man took his new job very seriously..

Napoleon laughed again..

He walked over to stand by the singing April.. "You have a beautiful voice April."

The redhead paused in her song. "Well, she seems to think so.."

"Thanks for asking us to be their godparents." April said looking first at Napoleon, then Illya.

"We are very happy you said yes." Illya told her.

"It means a lot to us that you two will also be there for them.."

Mark stood up, A happy Galina held securely in his arms, he walked over to April and Napoleon, followed by Illya.

"Napoleon, it's going to take the 4..er 5 of us counting dear old Alex, to raise these extraordinarily charming treasures." he kissed Galina on the tip of her nose.. She smiled and laughed. "And anyway.. Once a fellow has lost his heart to a pretty girl- what else can a bloke do, but vow to always protect her."

"I thought I was that pretty face?" April teased.

Mark just shrugged and give her a wink. "What can I say love, A prettier face came along."

They all laughed, including the ever smiling Galina.. Only little Jessamy slept blissfully through the sounds of laughter..
